MPD (Ministry Partner Development)

Remember, you are not selling a product, you are inviting others to partner with you in spreading the Gospel of Jesus to key people groups in New York City!  Check out the MPD Student Info document for more on why we ask you to raise support, even if you or your parents could just write a check.  Once you're clear on the "why", here's what you need to do to get started:

  • Become a fan of the Tribeca Summer Project 2010 facebook fan page.  This is a great way to begin getting the word out to hundreds of your friends (without really doing anything) about what you're into this summer.  These days, your parents and their friends are probably on Facebook too, so keep that in mind and use this platform wisely!
  • Go to the Ministry Support Tool at http://mpd.uscm.org.  This is a great step-by-step tool to guide you the whole way.
  • Review all of the MPD documents on the left to make sure that the funds you raise go to the right place.  This is important!  Failure to follow some of these procedures could result in you not having money in your pocket this summer when you need to eat.
  • Ask questions and seek help when you have trouble!  Our primary vehicle for FAQs and Q&A is the wall on our Facebook Fan Page.  So become a fan and ask most questions on the wall -there's tons of other folks out there who either have your question or know your answer.   You can also message Jonathan Thorn (that's me), Joe Karlya (Tribeca Ops Director), or your Track Directors.

May God bless you with boldness, great conversations, fun, and money as you take steps of faith in your MPD!

God Bless,

Jonathan Thorn
